Pick up from your hotel or airport and drive northwards with views of tea and coffee plantations around the Aberdare ranges and Mount Kenya to Outspan hotel for lunch. Lunch at Outspan hotel - from where you are transferred to the Treetops lodge by the lodges' own transport. Spend the night watching animals as they gather at the floodlit water hole. You will find this as a great way to introduce you to your safari. Meal Plan: {L D}
Accommodation : Treetops Lodge
A celebrity hotel located on the dense forest where the 50 rooms are either single or twin with shared bathroom facilities. However, private or ensuite bathrooms are available on request. All rooms overlook the two waterholes and the peaks of Mount Kenya. Guests under 7 years are not permitted. Night observation of animals at the lounge offers exiting animal viewing with easy photography and comfort.Night visitors expected are Rhinos, Elephants, lions, bushbuck, warthog and night birds.
Drive into Kenya's rugged northeastern region, home of the colorful Samburu tribes people. Crossing the Equator enroute arriving at the Samburu Sopa lodge for lunch. Afternoon game viewing drives in this park, which is home to all the major game, as well as some unique species like the grevy zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, gerenuk, beisa oryx and Somali ostrich. Enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives exploring this arid wilderness while photographing its main inhabitants. The uniqueness of Samburu is that it is located in a semi arid region of Kenya where game viewing of unique species and Samburu culture is experienced. Meal Plan: {B, L, D}
After breakfast proceed for game viewing enroute Lake Naivasha, with a brief stopover at the Equator. Descend down the Aberdare ranges to Thompson falls hotel in Nyahururu with breath taking views of waterfalls. After lunch, proceed east into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha, cradled within the Valley. The lake is frequented by a wide variety of bird life and you have the rest of the day to spend at own leisure. Accommodation at Fish Eagle Inn or lodge. Meal Plan: {B, L, D}
Masai Mara game reserve. Early breakfast then depart for the Masai Mara, through the Great Rift Valley, and arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive to view the "Big Five" and other wildlife in the magnificent scenery of the Mara. The Mara is famous for the wildebeest and zebra migration, as well as an abundance of resident wildlife. Overnight at Manyatta camp or lodge. Meal Plan: {B, L, D}
Full day of game drives with a picnic lunch in the wild, superb photographic opportunities to capture the black-maned lion, elephant and various plains game. Overnight at Manyatta camp or lodge. Meal Plan: {B, L, D}
Optional visit to Masai Village for a cultural tour can be arranged - $25 per person. Also optional Hot air balloon ride can be arranged this morning, then proceed with your game drive - $430 per person.
