Our journey begins with us picking you up from Nairobi Hotel /Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). We drive from Nairobi to Nanyuki town where we have Lunch and then proceed to the foot of the Mountain. The drive ends at Sirimon gate and our Mount Kenya hike begins. The first leg of our hike sees us trek uphill through the forest for about 3 hours. Once the forest transitions to moorland our track will divert towards our first campsite. We’ll stop at Old Moses camp for dinner and an overnight stay. 3-4 hrs, 9Km, 680m Ascent
After breakfast, our second day of climbing Mount Kenya begins with a trek uphill as we head towards Ontulili River. We branch at the junction and continue trekking for about an hour. Once we reach the river, we take a brief rest and refill our water bottles. Our Mount Kenya hike continues through the Moorlands towards Mackinder’s Valley. The views from the valley are striking as you’ll be able to see the main peaks. The day’s hike ends at Shipton Camp where we have dinner and an overnight stay. 7 hrs, 14Km, 900m Ascent

On point Lenana, we’ll watch the alluring sunrise slowly bathe the land and sky in soft golden light. You’ll also find the view of mt. Kilimanjaro’s snowcapped peak reflecting the sunrise worth every step. Our descent via Mount Kenya Chogoria route will first take us to Minto’s camp for breakfast. Shortly after, we’ll continue trekking towards Mount Kenya Bandas.
